`$COMP_WORDS` – Completion Words

$COMP_WORDS is an array, which contains the individual words of the command line. The line is split by $COMP_WORDBREAKS.

The word containing the cursor is identified by $COMP_CWORD.

This variable is only available in functions and external commands invoked by the programmable completion.
